Peter F. Shields Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Peter F. Shields of Rochester, New York, who passed away on September 1, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Shields and Kathryn Shields; his sister Susan Pettis (Gerald); and his daughter Marilyn George. He is survived by: his children, Todd Shields (Kelley) and Melissa Ferlenda (late John); his grandchildren, Casey Jones (Thomas), Brittany Webb (Gregory), Jade Ferlenda, Nicholas and Anthony Ferlenda; and his sibling's children, Shelly Fabris, Melanie Pettis-Frey (Bob), Melissa Short-McClain (Ricky) and Michael Pettis (Kevin). He is also survived by several great-grandchildren.

While living in Indiana during the Covid-19 Pandemic, Pete was recognized after he received an award for his dedicated work at the local "Meals & More" Program.
