He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Sr. Blake and Rosa Blake; his siblings, Odell Blake, Annie-Belle McGruder, James Walter Blake II, Edgar Nathanial Blake and Flossie Gilbert; and his daughter Rose Marie Blake.

He is survived by: his wife Clara Blake; and his children, Ronald Blake, Cindy Blake, Carlos Blake (Altamese), Raleigh Blake II, Bonnie Anderson (Granville) and Cecil Blake (Gloria). He is also survived by many grandchildren & great-grandchildren; & a host of nieces, nephews & cousins.
