He was predeceased by: his parents, Emil May and Helen May (Callan); his siblings, Mary Dee Roberts (May) and Terry May; and his brother-in-law David Schroeder.
He is survived by: his wife Carol (Tryon); his daughters, Leah VanOrden (Mark) and Erin McMahon (Joseph); his grandchildren, Samantha and Nicholas Tartaglia; his siblings-in-law, Joan Schroeder and Dean Tryon (Les); and his siblings, John (Terri), Jimmy (Paula), Kitty Bowers (Ken) and Kevin May (Ann). He is also survived by 15 nieces and nephews, and a host of remarkable friends.
