He was predeceased by: Jerry Pirson (late Joan). He is survived by: his parents, Richard Pirson and Barbara Pirson; his sibling Stacey Nicastro (Scott); his sibling's children, Ewen J. Nicastro and Celia Nicastro; his aunts and uncles, Ken Pirson, Carrie Noe, Joyce Kozuch Brannon (Richard) and Pat Powell; and his cousins, Rodney Pirson, Debbie Pirson, Timothy Pirson, Steven Brannon (Meg), Dawn Minemier (late Robert), Thom Pirson (Kelly), Melissa Powell and Nelson Powell III (Emilia).

Visitation was held on Monday, July 14th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Lakeside Memorial Hamburg Chapel (4199 Lake Shore Rd, Hamburg, NY 14075). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Tuesday, July 15th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Mary of the Lake Church (4737 Lake Shore Rd, Hamburg, NY 14075).

In lieu of flowers, donations in Richard's name may be made to Save the Michaels of the World.
