He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Richard Henry and Lois Ellen Kampfer; his siblings, Lynne, Wayne, Jim and Steve; his wife Carol Mae Eisenmenger; his children, Sarah Hamersma (Robert) and Benjamin; his grandchildren, Meredith and Lucas; and his siblings, Robert, Curtis, Scott and Wendy. He was also cherished by numerous other family members and dear friends.

Due to allergies and travel, in lieu of flowers memorials are preferred.
