He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Malinka and Diane Malinka; and his siblings, Kathy Metro (Bob), Thomas Malinka, Patrick Malinka (Mary) and Michael Malinka (Laurie).
He is survived by: his wife Susan Malinka; his children, Abigail VanWycke (Erick), Marjorie O'Neill (Brandon), Brian Bates (Angela) and Michael Bates (Katie); his grandsons, Henry and Bennett Bates; and his siblings, Frank Malinka (Marilyn) and Mary Ellen Britt (Andy). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and dear friends.
A celebration of life will be held on Thursday, June 19th 2025 at 4:00 PM at the Braddock Bay Park (199 E Manitou Rd, Rochester, NY 14612).
