Robert W. Pierce, born on February 27, 1955, passed away on September 12, 2026. Robert leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Royal Bernard Pierce; his son Michael Pierce; his stepdaughter Atasha Ashley; his siblings, Patricia Pierce and Timothy Pierce; and his mother-in-law Christine Lillis.
He is survived by: his mother Frances M. Fournier Pierce; his wife Deborah A. Shatraw (Burke); his stepchildren, Kreg Pierce of Massena, Elaine Pierce, Chad McPherson of Plattsburgh, Heather, Matt Kish of Winthrop, Jackson, Angela Shatraw of Potsdam, Travis Shatraw and Kiara White of Winthrop; and his siblings, Dean, Nancy Pierce of Tulsa, OK, Charles of Waddington, Kathy Pierce of Waddington, Tammi of Waddington and Thomas Sansoucy of Waddington. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, September 18th 2026 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Hammill Funeral Home (653 NY-11C, Winthrop, NY 13697). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the New Brookside Cemetery. A reception will be held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the American Legion Post #420 (23 Fenton St, Waddington, NY 13694).
