We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2025, at the age of 91, Robert R. Chapin (Rochester, New York) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Chapin and Helen Louise Chapin; his wife Audrey Chapin; and his siblings, William Chapin, Lorraine Grosskopf and Dorthy Hake.
He is survived by: his children, Diana Chapin, Michael Chapin (Marcy), Robert D. Chapin (Deborah) and Steven Chapin (Johanna); his siblings, Edmond W. Jr. and Helen Bonin; his grandchildren, Rick Vanepps (Jenny), Tara Vanepps, Michelle Chapin, Christopher Chapin, Jennifer Ocello (Justin), Jessica Alcorn (Robert), Mikayla Chapin, Gabrielle Jablonski (Jake) and Cameron Chapin; and his great grandchildren, Austin, Victoria, Tyler, Logan, Gracie, Paige, Ty, Benjamin, Olivia, Amelia, Jaxson, Reagan, Rhett and Luka.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626). A memorial service will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 at 6:00 PM at the New Comer Cremations & Funerals (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626).
In lieu of flowers, the family invites donations to be made in Bob's memory to a charity of your choice or to Hildebrandt Hospice Center (https://www.rochesterregional.org) in honor of their exceptional care.
