Roy Frank Lomicka Obituary
With sadness, we share the passing of Roy Frank Lomicka of Rochester, New York. Roy, born on November 11, 1926 in Latrobe, Pennsylvania, passed away on August 30, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his wife Helen; his parents, Harry Lomicka and Gertrude Lomicka; and his siblings, Harry Lomicka (Rita), Marjorie Carfang (Richie), Shirley Lomicka, Phyllis Rubala (Mike), Irene Murrman (Bud), Charles Lomicka and Diane French.
He is survived by: his children, Roy, Jr. (Barbara), Susan Burns (Carl) and Jeffrey (Cricket); his grandchildren, Kristin Lomicka (Hector Sillero-Bernal), Brian Lomore (Jackie), Dustin Burns (Melissa Castillo) and Andrew Burns (Allison); his great grandchildren, Nate Burns, Molly Burns and Flora Lomore; his sister Nancy Haynes (Larry); and his siblings-in-law, Cheryl Lomicka and Roy French. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Vay-Schleich and Meeson (1075 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14626). A funeral service was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Bethany Presbyterian Church (3000 Dewey Ave, Bronx, NY 10465).
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Bethany Presbyterian Church, Rochester, NY in his memory.
