Ruth Shafer Stork Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ruth Shafer Stork (Rochester, New York), born in Oak Park, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 13, 2025 at the age of 86. She was predeceased by: her parents, Ruth Shafer and James Shafer; and her sister Susan Helfer. She is survived by: her daughter Emily Catherine (Elizabeth Caroline); her husband Al Stork (English); her children, Lynn Stork and Elizabeth Stork (Yvette Stork); and her grandchildren, Rae Allison-Stork, Link Allison-Stork, Skye Freeman and Casey Stork-Werner.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 21st 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the New Comer Funeral Home (2636 Ridgeway Ave, Rochester, NY 14626).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Nazareth College Nursing Department, in memory of Ruth Stork, to assist nursing students in need.
