It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Samuel B. Read Jr. (Rochester, New York), who passed away on January 2, 2022, at the age of 80, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Samuel B. Read Jr. to pay them a last tribute.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel and Helen Read Sr.; and his brother Harry Read. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy "Jean" Read; his daughters, Debbie Putney (Jeff) and Donna Bopp Sr. (Rodney); his grandchildren, Jessica Fox (Dan), Jacob Putney, Carmen Gazzo Jr. (Jessie), Ashley Putney, Saundra Gazzo, Joshua Putney and Brandon Gazzo (Brittany Grammatica); his great grandchildren, Makayla Putney, Natalie Gazzo, Carmen Gazzo III, Joclynn Fox, Jackson Gazzo and Joshua Fox; and his sisters-in-law, Margaret Gibbs and Kathy Read.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to OPen Door Mission in his memory. The family greatly appreciates donations made to these charities in Samuel B. Read Jr. 's name.
