He was predeceased by: his wife Melinda; and his son Zachary Shawn Smith. He is survived by: his mother Lois; his brothers, Thomas (Sharon) and Dave (Liz); his stepdaughters, Kailey and Megean; his nieces and nephews, Damian, Samantha, Kyle, Ryan, Tyler and Allison; and his pet Zeus.
