He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Anne Montgomery (Mechler); his son James; and his sons-in-law, Scott Ponticello and Sharry Shekell. He is survived by: his children, John (Bernadette), Judith Shekell and Jaclyn Ponticello; his daughter-in-law Laurie Montgomery; and his grandchildren, Ryan (Lisa), Christopher Shekell (Ashley), Kelly Bellamy (Christopher), Colleen Williamson (Aman), Sean Montgomery (Brittney), Nicholas, A. J. Ponticello, Jason Montgomery (Courtney), Michelle Wurst (Christopher), Travis Montgomery and Alyssa Wingard. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Honor Flight or the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation.
