With solemn reverence, we commemorate Sofia Tasikas of Rochester, New York, whose life came to an end on May 22, 2026 at the age of 85, leaving behind cherished memories. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was predeceased by: her brothers, Anastasios and Vasilios Mellios; her sisters-in-law, Kaiti and Evangelia Mellios; and her parents, Georgios (Eleni Mellios) and Sofia.

She is survived by: her brothers, Pantelis and Themistocles Mellios; her sister-in-law Paraskevi Mellios; her husband Jerry Tasikas; and her children, Dan, Vasilios (Ellen), Gregory (Stacy), Yiayia of Jerry, Sofia, Teddy, Elizabeth, Olivia and Henry.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Church (962 East Ave, Rochester, NY 14607). A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 27th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
