With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Sofia Varahidis (Rochester, New York), whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Sofia left this world on May 4, 2025 at the age of 101, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her husband Christoforos Varahidis; and her siblings, Marika, Nopi, Dimitrios, Christos and Lizzy.
She is survived by: her children, Elizabeth Zissis (Constantinos), Maria Mihalitsas (Dimitrios) and Kostantinos Varahidis (Zoi); and her granddaughters, Alexandra, Sophia, Julie, Maria, Thalia and Jackie. She is also survived by husbands, 17 great grandchildren and 4 great-great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
