He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis McCarthy and Dorothy McCarthy; and his great-nephew Joey. He is survived by: his siblings, Robert McCarthy and Mary McCarthy; his nieces, Kathleen (Dave), Brittany (Jonathan) and Shannon; his aunt Joanne Eldridge; his great-niece Gia; his great-nephews, Dom, Jaxon and Nick; his close friends, Nickolas Johnson, Kathryn Villano and Kristina; and his pet Khloe. He is also survived by many cousins and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 6th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Farrell-Ryan Funeral and Cremation Services (777 Long Pond Rd, Rochester, NY 14612). A funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 7th 2026 at 9:30 AM at the St. Charles Borromeo Catholic Church (3003 Dewey Ave, Rochester, NY 14616).
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Wilmot Cancer Institute or the Visiting Nurse Association of WNY in Bill's memory.
