He was predeceased by: his parents, Carl Oette and Cristina Oette; and his brother Edward. He is survived by: his wife Linda; his daughter Erica Hackett (Michael); his sisters-in-law, Judith Hamberger and Kathleen Oette; and his nieces, Sharon Raitz (Brent) and Reneé Schoch (Andrew).
