He was predeceased by: his father Willie E. Sanders I; his stepfather Jimmy Bell; and his sisters, Sallie Mae Tamplin and Debra Jackson (Red). He is survived by: his wife Barbara Scott-Sanders; his mother Bernice Sanders; his children, Willie Sanders III, Chelsea Sanders and Kendall Sanders-Wakefield; his grandsons, Willie Sanders IV and Kayden Bailey; his siblings, Bernita Sanders and Rickie Sanders; and his daughter-in-law Simone Sanders-Wakefield. He is also survived by aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
