David Bearup Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 10, 2025, at the age of 76, David Bearup in Rome, New York passed away. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of David Bearup to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, George Bearup and Lena Dick Bearup; and his siblings, Tommy and Barbara Hulbert (John). He is survived by: his spouse Kathyrn Peacock; his daughter Melissa; his son-in-law Richard Vansteeland; his sons, David Bearup, James (Jennifer Bearup) and Matthew (Michelle Bearup); his granddaughters, Emma and Vivian; and his siblings, George, Peter Bearup, Mary Yott (Randy) and Michelle Kavanaugh (Ken). He is also survived by many loving nephews and nieces.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Strong-Burns & Sprock Funeral Home (7751 Merrick Rd, Rome, NY 13440). A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Paul's Church (1807 Bedford St, Rome, NY 13440).
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that contributions in Dave's honor be made to the American Heart Association or WCNY public radio.
