We announce the death of Dean E. Evans of Rome, New York, who passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 64. Dean will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Gordon Evans and Arletta Evans; his brother Gordon Evans, Jr.; his brothers-in-law, Richard Sobik and Leon Scott; and his nephew Douglas Harrad.
He is survived by: his wife Marie Demarius; his siblings, Sheila Sobik, Gail Scott, Janice McCarthy (Jim) and Donald Evans (Gretchen); and his sister-in-law Joyce Evans-Wickard (Dale). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 15th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home, Inc. (418 N George St, Rome, NY 13440).
Donations may be made in Dean's memory to a charity of choice.
