He was predeceased by: his parents, Norma Ernenwein (Smith) and James Ernenwein; his parents-in-law, Eugene and Cecelia Lauber (Iwanski); his brother James Ernenwein; and his brothers-in-law, James Lauber and Jerry Enos.
He is survived by: his wife Donna; his son Donald Ernenwein II (Sara); his grandchildren, Marley and Mia of Voorhees, NJ; his son Douglas Ernenwein (Heather); his grandchildren, Joelle, Cole and Miles of Argyle, NY; his sister Jane Enos of Oriskany, NY; and his siblings-in-law, Sharon Ernenwein of Rome, NY, Heather Lauber of Rochester, NY and Rich Lauber (Rose) of Amsterdam. He is also survived by several cousins, nieces, and nephews; and many special friends.
