He was predeceased by: his parents, Dr. Charles Alessi and Mary Alessi (Broad). He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Lerczak of Buffalo, NY.; his children, Dr. Brian Alessi (Pam), Michael Alessi and Kim Alessi (Allison); and his siblings, Dr. Robert Alessi of Rome, Helen Schwarz (Hans) of Jasper, Alberta, Richard Alessi (Barbara) of Alden, NY. and Dorothea "DeeDee" Alessi. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
