She was predeceased by: her parents, Edward Perry and Francis Perry (Smith); and her siblings, Edna Ammon, Edward and Frank Perry.

She is survived by: her spouse Russell Smith; her children, Betty Kotary of Floyd and William; her daughter-in-law Delores Smith of Floyd; her grandchildren, Gene Kotary (Anita), Jeffrey Kotary (Lori), Dee Krutz (Ed), William Smith Jr. (Kate) and Jason Smith (Chris Conner); and her sisters, Mary Conover and Charlotte Martzloff. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandsons; and several nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, contributions in Betty's name may be made to the Floyd United Methodist Church.
