She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Ward and Mary Sebastian Ward. She is survived by: her husband Charles W. Monroe, Sr.; her children, Gary (Kathy), Douglas, Charles II and Laurie Cresswell (Justin) of Rome; her sister Phyllis Muha of Constableville; her grandchildren, Justin Monroe (Hayley), Christopher Monroe, Jennifer Zakaras (Michael), Kelsi Monroe, Matthew Monroe, Victor Smith (Niki), Elizabeth Bender, Carolyn Monroe and Tony Monroe; and her siblings, Gertrude Trichilo, Florence Stianoff, Genevive Talarczyk, Regina Higby, Lucile Swiernik, Stella Kornatowski, Leon, Carl, Henry and Eugene Ward. She is also survived by eight great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She especially enjoyed her pursuit of riches, making many donations to the NYS lottery commission and numerous bingo halls over the years.
