It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gabriel C. Streiff (Rome, New York), who passed away on May 4, 2023, at the age of 72, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Willard Streiff and Minnie Pfohl Streiff; his former wife Georgia Elaine Ray Streiff; his grandson Otto; and his siblings, Marilyn Joslin, Raymond and Edward Streiff.
He is survived by: his wife Beth Schwertfeger; his daughters, Tamara Schreyer (Matthew) of Floyd, Melanie Streiff of Floyd and Brittany Parr (Ryan); his grandchildren, Jesse, Alexis, Calvin III, Hadley and Brida; his siblings, Minnie Streiff (Maynard Hamilton), Shirley Hobin (Robert), Mary Hobin (Larry), Betty Anne Gasper (Joe), Willard Streiff Jr. (Donna), Charles Streiff (Elaine), John Streiff and Fred Streiff (Sue); and his siblings-in-law, James Joslin and Kathy Streiff. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Floyd Fire Department and/or Hospice and Palliative Care.
