He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mumford and Frances Cellini Mumford; his siblings, Mary Edick, Roseann Gowans, Sandra Satterlee, Abigail Froelich, Kate Tofani, John and Peter Mumford; and his son-in-law John "Jack" O'Connor.

He is survived by: his wife Arden Carmody; his children, Craig Mumford of Rome, Colleen (Jack Armstrong) and Laura O'Connor of Rome; his brother James; his sister-in-law Sandy Mumford; his sister Donna Wood; his siblings-in-law, Sandra, Gail Mumford and Alfred Tofani; and his grandchildren, Ryan, Emily Armstrong, Clancy "Grace" and Noah O'Connor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
