He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard P. Sr. Sears and Marion A. Sexton Sears; his siblings, Elizabeth McDowell, Barbara S. DeHimer and Thomas A. Sears; and his former wives, Barbara H. Sears and Suzanne Sears (Sauer).
He is survived by: his wife Christine Sears. He is also survived by seven grandchildren, three step-grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren and three step-great grandchildren, along with several nieces and nephews.
