We are sad to announce that, on April 27, 2020, at the age of 66, Joanne E. Newey (Rome, New York), born in North Bay, New York passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dominick DeCarolis and Annice DeCarolis (McLaren); her grandson Jeffrey Newey; her sister Barbara Slawson; her niece Veta Hill; and the father of her children Wayne Newey.

She is survived by: her husband LeRoy H. Montgomery; her sons, Jeffrey Newey (Jesteen) and James Newey; her siblings, Acquilino DeCarolis (Terry), Donna Congden, Veta Webb and Deloris Hill; and her grandchildren, Trinaty, Chris, Cody and Mikayla.

JoAnne E. Newey-Montgomery, 67, of Rome, lost her life as she fought a courageous battle with COVID-19 virus on Monday, April 27, 2020 at St. Elizabeth's Healthcare in Utica.
