He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Sr. Coccagnia and Fannie Scalise Coccagnia; his siblings, Joseph, Paul Coccagnia and Clarice; and his siblings-in-law, John Burke Sr. and Frances Facciolo.
He is survived by: his wife Karen Facciolo; his children, Kimberly Coccagnia (Barry Donovan) and John Michael Coccagnia (Norma); his grandchildren, Jalynn and Dicaprio Anthony; his siblings-in-law, Kathy Russell (Frank), Joyce Coccagnia and Dexter Friede; his aunt Marilyn Scalise; his cousin Danny DeGeorge; and his close friend Casey Czerwinski. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
