John L. Preston, born on April 30, 1934, passed away on September 9, 2026. John leaves behind family members and others who acknowledge this loss. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
John leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing him. John’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around him. Though he is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support he offered will continue to resonate. All who knew John will carry forward his memory in their hearts.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Samuel Preston and Ruth Preston; and his brother Bob Preston. He is survived by: his wife Joan Preston; and his children, Debbie Mondrick (Mike), Jay Preston, Mary Beth Domenico (Seb) and Julie Preston-Walter (Matt). He is also survived by many grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Peter's Church (200 N James St, Rome, NY 13440).
