He is survived by: his parents, Dorothy "Mama Love" Mathis and David Mathis; and his siblings, Makeda Mallea (Kai), Daniel Young, Jelani Johnson, Corey Mathis, Denise Hurst (Germaine) and Doreen Mathis. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members, and countless friends and neighbors.
