Joseph J. Caiola Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Joseph J. Caiola of Rome, New York, who passed away on August 16, 2025 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Peter E. Caiola; and his wife Barbara McGuinness Caiola. He is survived by: his mother Getina Caiola (Cartagirone); his daughters, Michelle Potaczala (Teddy) and Melissa Caiola (Steven Smothers); his siblings, Peter Caiola (Gail), Liz Grasso (Mark) and Mary LaBella (Joey); and his grandchildren, AJ and Gianna. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, and dear friends.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made in Joe's memory to the Wounded Warrior Project.
