He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Niles Sorrell and Eleanor Sorrell (Seymour); his wife Sharon L. Smith of John's Lutheran Church; his children, Matthew Sorrell (Jen Stauty) of Rome, Michael Sorrell of Rome, Tracey Streiff (Kenny) of Rome and Ryan Sorrell (Kaela) of Hamilton; his grandchildren, Nethanial, Ace, Kasey, Julia (Tyler), Hunter, Evelyn, Joe, Kali, Liam and Oaklee; his great grandchild Oliver; and his siblings, Royal Sorrell of Rome, Alton Sorrell (Nancy) of Utica, Darleen Beadnell, Marvin Sorrell, Brenda Sorrell, Joan VanAllen and Leota Sjoblom.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Nunn and Harper Funeral Home (418 N George St, Rome, NY 13440).
