He was predeceased by: his parents, James DeBella and Mary Wolak DeBella; and his brother James A. DeBella. He is survived by: his children, Manya DeBella (Michele DeBella Lewis) of Utica, James M. DeBella (Dominique DeBella) of Plattsburgh and Sabayne DeBella (Alec DeBella) of Rome; his brother Tony; his sister-in-law Shirley DeBella of Westmoreland; and his stepchildren, Tammy Beitter (Fred) of Myrtle Beach, SC and Justin DeHart (Kathy) of Rome. He is also survived by several grandchildren; and many extended family.
