He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Lambert Kunkel and Catherine Kunkel (Narrow); his former wife Carol Jones; his wife Marie-France Baynes Wood; his children, Kathleen Moffat (Edward) of Boonville, Wendy Matteson (Scott) of Tyngsboro, MA, Michael Kunkel of Westborough, MA, Kimberly Wood of Bangor, ME and Daniel Kunkel of Virginia Beach, VA; his siblings, Joseph Kunkel (Mary Helen) of Guilderland, NY, David Kunkel (Barbara) of Guilderland, NY, Jacqueline Ash (Clayton) of Altamont, NY, Peter Kunkel (Mary Beth) of Janesville, WI, Kristine Shrepple (Eric) and Gretchen Feussner; and his grandson Craig Buchanan.
