It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Myrtle Witchley (Rome, New York), who passed away on December 9, 2025, at the age of 76, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Myrtle Witchley to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Megerell and Vivian Beck Megerell; her husband James "Jim" Witchley; and her siblings, Charleen Baker, Marilyn Baker, Tina Reed, Clyde and Joseph "Joe" Megerell.
She is survived by: her children, Tammy Seaton (David), Heather Holley (Josef), Joseph Waterman, David Waterman (Patty) and Matthew Waterman; her sister Donna Reed; and her former husband Bill Waterman. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440). A funeral service will be held on Friday, December 12th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
