He was predeceased by: his parents, John Fort and Virginia Fort; and his brother John. He is survived by: his wife Betty; his children, Matthew Fort (Elisabeth) of Davidson, NC and Tracy Theilmann (Nick) of Rome; his grandchildren, Hannah, Nathan, Oliver, Miles Fort, Logan and Liam Theilmann; his nephews, Andy and Tom Fort; and his sister-in-law Julie Fort.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
