With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Richard C. Bremer of Rome, New York, born in Utica, New York, who passed away on March 17, 2023 at the age of 92. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Richard C. Bremer to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Merritt, Sr. Bremer and Esthyr Filkins Bremer; his siblings, Charles Bremer (Connie), Robert Bremer (Suzanne), Sally Sexton (Craig), Nancy Morehouse (Henry) and Merritt Bremer, Jr.; his brothers-in-law, Leo Barry (Bertha) and William Barry, Sr.; and his granddaughter Kathryn Bremer.
He is survived by: his wife Marilyn Barry; his children, Elizabeth Boehlert (Jeffrey), Richard Bremer (Holly Barnes), David and James Bremer (Patricia); and his sisters-in-law, Carol Bremer and Mary Lou Barry. He is also survived by 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital which became our favorite charity following the care great grandson, Joey, has received there since 2016.
