He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, William Taylor Simons and Sybil Simons (Swick); his wife Esther Turkington Tremblay (Esi); his children, Ross (Sheila) of Liverpool, NY, Scott of Portland, Kathryn of Boston and Linda of Bethesda; his stepchildren, Mark Tremblay (Tracy) of Vienna and Cindy Tremblay (Steve) of Minneapolis; his sister Joan Simons Eddy; and his brother-in-law Sonny Eddy of Bloomfield, NY. He was also cherished by six grandchildren and six great grandchildren.
He was a Fellow of the American Bar Foundation, Fellow and former Chair (1997-1998) of the New York State Bar Foundation, and member of the American Law Institute, and the American, New York State, Oneida County and Rome City Bar Associations.
