He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Mortis and Alfreda Wood Mortis; and his siblings, Joyce Marcelletta, Tony Pettengill, Ronald Mortis and Bernard Mortis.
He is survived by: his wife Geraldine "Gerri" Lagrotteria; his children, Lynda (Adrienne) of Webster, NY, Lori (Julio) of Rome and Bob (Brooke) of New Hartford; his brothers, James Mortis and Harold Jr. (Margaret); and his grandchildren, Daniel, Nicholas, Zachary, Owen and Skyler. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
