With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Russell W. Pitoniak (Rome, New York), who passed away on October 21, 2023. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Andrew Pitoniak and Edna Pitoniak (Holloway); and his brother Wayne. He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Pitoniak; his children, Tracy Pitoniak (Jackie), Noel Pitoniak and Hillary Joy Pitoniak (John Palumbo); his grandchildren, Christopher, Cody, Colton, Corey, Justin, Kayla and Taylor; and his brother Scott Pitoniak (Beth).

In lieu of flowers, the family would welcome donations in Russ's memory to the Multiple Myeloma Research Foundation and the Phillip S. McDonald Police Benevolent Association.
