With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Shirley Irene Tanner of Rome, New York, born in Butternuts, New York, who passed away on November 28, 2022 at the age of 86. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Malcolm Tanner; her children, Joann Lambert, Linda Thorn and Andrew Wahl; and her stepsons, Danny and Michael Tanner.
She is survived by: her daughters, Pamela Kinstle (Stephen) of Westmoreland and Ellin Vogel (Colin) of Cheetowaga, NY; her son-in-law Stephen Thorn; her grandchildren, Anthony Wahl, Brandon Lambert, Rebecca Lambert, Lawrence Meus, Lindsey Meus, Kyle Thorn, Khrysta Thorn and Cassandra Wahl; her great grandchildren, Desiree Jester, Elizabeth Meus, Joseph Farda, Khloe Watkins, Jakob Watkins, Alexis Smithling, Stela Wahl and Warren Wahl; and her stepchildren, Deborah Rocker (Alton) of Garland, TX, Charles Tanner (Kim) of West Leyden, Scott Tanner (Debbie) of West Leyden, Laurie Secor of West Leyden, Sharon Cullings (Joseph) of West Leyden, Brian Tanner (Stacy) of West Leyden and Tracy Tanner of Rome.
