He was predeceased by: his parents, Zygmunt Stawiarz and Wanda Thiel Stawiarz; his wife Gloria J. Kiker; and his son Mark C. Stawiarz. He is survived by: his son Stephen Stawiarz Jr.; his daughter-in-law Lisa Stawiarz of Land O' Lakes, FL; his grandchildren, Jake Morgan, Christian and Trey Stawiarz; and his brothers, John, Walter Stawiarz, Michael and Art Cichy. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Barry Funeral Home (807 W Chestnut St, Rome, NY 13440). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
