It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Serra (Rome, New York), who passed away on February 13, 2024, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Serra, and Violet Serra, Sr. (Lovett); his wife Joan Ryder; and his siblings, Elsie Ortensia Mallory, Lewis and Joseph Serra.

He is survived by: his children, Lisa Serra (Kathy), Tina Lennon (Matthew), Thomas E. Serra, David M. Serra (Teresa) and James J. Serra (Krista); his sister Sonja Recco (Anthony); his grandchildren, Jessica Torres (Ricky), Alexander Serra, Jordan Serra, Cody Lennon, Gabrielle Evans (Joshua), Chase Lennon, Trevor Serra, Bradley Serra, Jonathan Wallace and Steven Hawkins; his great grandchildren, Mackenzie, Lillian, Carter, Sophie, Sadie, Olivia and Landon; and his close friend Jennie S. Kemp. He is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.
