With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Richard Petito of Rosedale, New York, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Richard left this world on May 20, 2025 at the age of 81, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. As we bid farewell to this cherished soul, solace is taken in the memories held dear — the laughter shared, the wisdom imparted, the moments of quiet reflection in their presence. Though Richard may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the echoes of his kindness, the warmth of his embrace, and the light of his enduring love.
He is survived by: his wife Anne Marie Petito; his daughters, Anne Marie Frommeyer (Douglas Frommeyer) and Sharon Robinson (Christopher Robinson); his grandchildren, Christopher, Julia (Nicholas) and Kirsten Frommeyer; and his brother Dennis Petito.
Visitation was held on Friday, May 23rd 2025 from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM and from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM. A funeral Mass was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 9:45 AM at the St. Aidan's Church (505 Willis Ave, Williston Park, NY 11596). A burial was held on Saturday, May 24th 2025 at 11:45 AM at the Saint Charles Cemetery (1100 New Hwy suite 407 suite 407, Farmingdale, NY 11735).
