He was predeceased by: his parents, Colonel C. T. Subaiya and Selina Subaiya. He is survived by: his wife Sheila Kumari Subaiya; his children, Indu Subaiya, Saleena Subaiya and Peter Subaiya; his children-in-law, Lawrence Purpura, Blake Robin and Olive Ritson; and his grandchildren, Nikolai Ashoka Subaiya Robin and Neela Subaiya Ritson.
