He was predeceased by: his parents, Fred Sweet and Mary Sweet (Burchill); his brother Alan Sweet; his sister-in-law Lois Sweet; and his granddaughter Amanda Volkman.
He is survived by: his wife Nancy McManis Sweet; and his sons, Donald, Brian, Dale (Heidi) and James Sweet (Christine). He is also survived by his six grandchildren, and eight great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews, cousins.
