John Metcalf Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Metcalf of Rushford, New York, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on March 27, 2026 at the age of 65. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As John departs from our midst, his spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved John. Though John may no longer walk beside us, his legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
He was predeceased by: his son Todd Metcalf; his granddaughter Kadence Armstrong; and his father Daniel Elmer Metcalf. He is survived by: his mother Ruth Smith Metcalf; his children, Amy Metcalf of Rushford, Shawn Metcalf of Rushford and Clayton Law of Rochester; and his sisters, Peggy Armstrong (Dave) of Rushford and Julie Walter (Scott) of Rushford. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials, if desired, may be made to the Rushford Volunteer Fire Department.
