With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Bill Melnychuk of Rye Brook, New York, who passed away on February 27, 2026 at the age of 87. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Prokop Melnychuk and Wasylyna Melnyk Melnychuk; and his siblings, Michael, Walter, Karl and Catherine.
He is survived by: his wife Lucia Melnychuk of Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church; his children, Sonia Melnychuk, Wasyl Melnychuk (Casandra) and Andre Melnychuk (Kelly); his grandchildren, Johnathan Yudell, Stefanie Yudell, Kimberly Yudell, Mia Melnychuk Mahoney (Joseph), Ava Melnychuk, Alexis Melnychuk, Matthew Melnychuk and Allison Melnychuk; his great grandchild Carmella Mahoney; his sister Stefania Melnychuk Zwarycz; his nieces and nephews, Ihor and Roman Zwarycz; his sister-in-law Frances Melnychuk; his nephew Mark; Paul and Rosemary Melnychuck.
Memorial donations in memory of Bill may be made to the Alzheimers Association and to St Michael's Ukrainian Catholic Church, Yonkers, NY.
