With sadness, we share the passing of Virginia Drago of Rye, New York. Virginia, born on September 30, 1929, passed away on September 12, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Family, friends, and acquaintances remember Virginia for her warmth, thoughtfulness, and the moments shared together. While she will be deeply missed, the influence she had on the lives around her remains. Loved ones will reflect on the time spent together. She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Pauline and Lena Armato Pauline; her husband Dr. Samuel Drago, MD; her son Samuel J. Drago; and her brother Lawrence Pauline.
She is survived by: her children, Dr. Virginia Wade of Rye, NY, Thomas Drago (Meg) of Rye, NY, Richard Drago (Judith) of Weston, CT and Scott Drago (Amanda) of Rye, NY; and her daughter-in-law Theresa Drago of Greenwich, CT. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren and 8 great grandchildren.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Corpus Christi Church (136 S Regent St, Port Chester, NY 10573).
In lieu of flowers memorial donations in memory of Mrs. Drago may be made to the Saint Jude's Children's Research Hospital or to the Shriners Children's Hospital.
